If you've been curious to know the new name for the GRC merger of Wired Relations, RISMA, and ComplyCloud, you can now get the answer:
You thereby know the name of the company that aims to become the preferred GRC solution for businesses in the Nordics. And if you ask Cerivo’s CEO, Lars Nybro Munksgaard, there’s a particular need among businesses that makes it the right time to build an integrated GRC solution for the market:
“We’re seeing a clear trend towards Danish customers becoming more and more mature when it comes to GRC and structured processes.
It also means that they have bigger requirements for the solution they use as the software to support these processes. We believe we can meet those requirements by joining forces and building a new integrated GRC solution.”
But Lars Nybro Munksgaard also says that Cerivo has ambitions that go beyond the Nordics:
“I think that we will see that Cerivo will make a big difference in the Nordics - and hopefully also expand to other parts of Europe as and when they mature.”

The Cerivo mindset: “Processes can’t exist without people”
It takes more than just software to help Nordic companies with their GRC. It also requires the right mindset. Cerivo’s CPO, Anders Linemann, puts some words on the mindset that drives the development of the new integrated GRC solution:
“GRC isn’t a project, it’s a process. And processes can’t exist without people. For that reason, it matters that you actually make an effort to create a product that people love to use. So, this is the guideline we use in the development of Cerivo's integrated GRC solution."
Anders Linemann also elaborates on what this will mean in concrete terms for the software - and for the customers:
“It’s going to be a product that turns the work into a daily habit. And the only way to reach that goal is to make a software that’s easy to use and easy to understand - not only to the employees who are responsible for the company’s compliance, but also the employees who just want to find a company policy.”
The story behind the Cerivo name
Cerivo’s COO Martin Folke Vasehus is one of the people who have spent many hours in the strategy room, deciding on the strategy, vision, purpose, and - of course - the name.
Several hundred names were narrowed down to two names, and all Cerivo employees were asked to vote for their favorite. They were also given the meaning behind the two names - and for that reason, Martin Folke Vasehus has no doubt why Cerivo won:
“It’s a strong name that captures what we are, can, and offer. Cerivo is inspired by the word “cerebral,” which refers to the brain and intelligence.
It was essential for us to make this connection in our brand name, as our customers will enjoy the benefits of us bringing together our respective areas of expertise and know-how. From our legal intelligence to our experience with enterprise risk management."
And Martin Folke Vasehus explains the second part of the Cerivo name:
“Cerivo also stems from the word “servo,” meaning “to serve.” This emphasizes that Cerivo offers more than GRC software. We also offer support and consulting from the experts behind the software, meaning that our customers can run and maintain their GRC with our integrated solution.”
